Your Consultancy Specialist Mel Morris
Qualifying with a Masters in Social Work and Social Policy and having a passion for working with people, I decided to embark upon a career in Recruitment where my philosophy follows one of building long term strategic partnerships with both clients and candidates enhancing the success of filling a range of positions across a wide market and being able to really add value to a business.
I have been in the industry for close to 20 years and during that time I have managed 2 agencies, established workshops to assist secondary students with the transition into employment and was recently awarded Recruitment Professional of the year in 2019 by the RCSA (Recruitment and Consulting Services Association for Australia and NZ).
During this time I have developed close working relationships with Trade Me and Seek to understand the constantly evolving landscape around candidate attraction and how best to achieve this through writing effective adverts and understanding that you only have 4.9 seconds to attract a job seeker as well as how to source talent who are not actively applying for vacancies.
In the early childhood sector, this is especially relevant as the market is extremely candidate short. Talk’s consultancy service allows us to act as an extension of your business where we source talent on your behalf without the large placement fees that traditional recruitment agencies charge.
